[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide medical transcription services.
- Medical transcription services with expertise in transcribing forensic pathology examination and autopsy reports.
- Provide offsite medical transcription service on an as needed basis initially.
- Provide continuity during high volume periods, staff absences, vacations and unexpected leave with transition to near-complete coverage of all transcription needs for the agency.  
- Responsible for transcribing up to approximately 5,000 Forensic Pathology Examination/Autopsy reports per year.
- The Contractor(s) must bill on a line basis, based on a 65 (sixty-five) character line length. 65 characters constitute one line. Spaces are included in the 65 character count. Headers and footers shall not be included in the character count. A paragraph is single spaced with a double space between paragraphs, with each page single sided.
- Produce reports utilizing Microsoft Word 2007 or newer, typed in black ink on page 8.5” X 11” with a font size and face of “Arial 12 point”. The left margin shall not exceed 1-3/4” and the right margin shall not exceed 3/8”. The Contractor(s) shall provide transcribed reports and other information utilizing individual Medical Examiner’s templates that the using department specifies.
- The Contractor must be proficient in medical and pathology terminology, including neuropathology.
- The Contractor(s) must be available to respond to questions and/or concerns during the hours of 8 A.M. to 4 P.M.
- Receive digital audio dictation files along with a Case Information Report(s) from agency, utilizing individual Medical Examiner’s templates.  Individual templates will be provided to the awarded contractor(s).  Digital audio dictation files will be sent via a file sharing service or designated server.
- including client contact information, and type of services the company is performing for these clients.
- The Contractor’s response shall include any additional information that reflects on the Contractor's ability to perform the required services.
- All transcripts, digital audio files, ME Report Case Information and copies thereof are the property of the County Office of the Medical Examiner.
(2) The contract period will be for one year.
