[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide transcription services of voices oral histories.
- The total number of interviews to be transcribed by the selected vendor is 973, or approximately 808 hours of audio (48,500 minutes)
- To coordinate efforts, accept feedback, and deliver transcripts in batches at scheduled intervals,
- Transcripts should follow a style guide that is consistent with best practices in oral history transcription. Verbatim transcription with minimal omissions is preferred, using simple punctuation that reflects the cadence of natural speech while maintaining readability
- A relatively small number of the audio files (approximately 5-8%) exhibit poor sound quality.
- The supplemental use of artificial intelligence (AI) transcription services is encouraged – but not required – in order to reach maximum efficiency
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than May 31, 2023.
