- To perform reporting and transcription services of various public hearings.
- to provide verbatim recording and transcription of testimony at a variety of public hearings for the Development Services Department.
- The following figures reflect the number of meetings and time spent in those meetings. All of the following meeting times are subject to change. There may also be a fluctuation in the number of meetings and the number of boards assigned per year for which transcription services will be necessary
- Number of hearings: All hearings are quantified for the contract term and are estimated at:
- Land Use Hearing Officer Hearings/Afternoon Agenda: 36
- Land Use Hearing Officer Hearings (ZHM Zoning Hearing Master)/Evening Agenda: 36
- Phosphate Mining Hearing Master Hearing: 3
- Special Hearings: 125
- Length of hearings: The length of each hearing varies and descriptions of the typical hearings are:
- Land Use Hearing Officer Hearing/Morning Agenda usually begins at 10:00 a.m. and concludes by 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time (EST) during a work week of Monday through Friday, averaging in duration an estimated at 4.5 hours.
- Land Use Hearing Officer Hearing (ZHM) Zoning Hearing Master Evening Agenda usually begins at 6:00 p.m. and concludes by 12:00 a.m. (midnight) EST during a work week of Monday through Friday, averaging in duration of 6.0 hours
- Land Use Hearing Officer Hearings (ZHM)/Evening Agenda verbatim transcript is 425 pages each.
- Phosphate Mining Hearings verbatim transcript is 54 pages each.
- Special Hearings verbatim transcript is 50 pages each.
