(1) Transcription must be sent within 24 hours from the receipt of the dictation.
(2) Turnaround time of within 2 hours of receipt of STAT dictation and/or notification of STAT dictation.
(3) The vast majority of lines will be transcription of medical dictation. A much lesser portion of the workload will be transcription of staff notes.
(4) The contractor will transmit the transcribed dictation back to us in paper or an electronic format.
(5) Contractor shall maintain electronic storage of transcribe reports for at least 4 weeks after transcription.
(6) Contract will be for a period of 1 year.
(7) Volume of dictation may wary due to fluctuations in work load. Approximate volume of the work will be 100,000 lines per month.

(4) Completed reports will be emailed or sent on CD within seven (7) working days.
(5) Reports needed immediately (STAT) will be transcribed and forwarded in less than 36 hours after dictation has occurred.

(1) When a consumer is admitted to a facility the physician immediately starts to record the events that take place in that consumer’s hospitalization from admission to discharge or death. A medical history and physical examination is done on every consumer as well as various laboratory and diagnostic studies as well as a discharge summary. These documents provide the basis for the plan of treatment for the consumer. Some of these documents are dictated by the physician following his evaluation of the consumer. These documents are transcribed by a qualified person, printed and placed into the medical record.
(2) Vendor needs to provide qualified medical transcribers with an excellent knowledge of medical terminology, the transcription process, ability to follow the hospital format for all documents, spell check software for medical terminology and medications.
(3) Documents needs to be dictated into a central digital dictation system by way of touchtone telephones. Dictation should be done and transcription provided on a 24 hours, seven days a week basis.
(4) Digital dictation system should be available 24 X 7 with turnaround time of 24 hours with 1-2 hour STAT or priority dictation turnaround.
(5) Approximated volume of approximately 1500 reports for a six months period
